Lance Armstrong Has Issues

I'd chalk this one up to a mid-life crisis, but he seems to have already had a couple of those (e.g., here and here).

I guess I am just curious when you started reading Page Six of the NYT? Is it for the same reason that George C. reads People magazine?

Got to keep yourself in the news somehow!

There's just something not right about dating one of the Olsons. I think a good rule of thumb is that if you remember more of a person's childhood than that person does herself (most likely), you shouldn't date whey she's older. You can't tell me Lance wasn't a Full House fan.

Pete - Did you just mistake the The New York Post for the New York Times? If Rupert Murdoch were dead he'd be rolling over in his grave.

Somm - Indeed.

David - Pair that with avoiding 21 year olds who are 16 years your junior and you should avoid a lot of trouble. And David... who wasn'tFull House fan?

And the story goes on...

Marc, I do not know the difference between the two, nor do I really care. I think the point is that you are reading a newspaper page that has this kind of information on it daily. Just a little confusing.

Ever heard of news-aggregators?

Pete said...

So anytime someone posts a story about one of the Olsen twins, then you get a copy of it?

Marc said...

Nope. But I do get a few daily news summaries emailed to me and I also tend to visit news aggregating sites like the Drudge Report and the Huffington Post. On top of that, I have a slew of various types of news feeds linked into my Google homepage.

Weren't you the guy circulating a gossip-page picture of Michael Jordan grinding a group of college age girls while smoking a Cuban just a few months ago? Why the 3rd degree?

Just having some fun this morning. And I found that pic from Deadspin. Plus I like when you get riled up and have to defend yourself.

Well, you're not the only one who seems to like baiting me. Apparently I give off some sort of "bait me" pheromone.

I think he should date both sisters. I mean they always came in a pair, they're kinda like socks. When you lose a sock you can wear the one with one that doesn't match, but deep down you know something is missing. Besides if my math doesn't fail me 21+21=42...so he'd technically be dating 42 years of life. Seems fine to me on paper. Sports are all about

ooops...didn't get the ending...should read

sports are all about matchups...and this one seems even on the clipboard.

Boooring! I tend to skip over anything about Britney Spears, LL, the Olsen twins and especially Matthew McWhatshisface. I'm about to add Lance to that list. How about you dig up some dirt about the Beckhams- and post pictures. Lots of pictures.

Marc said...

Simon - Seems like you've given the idea of dating the Olsen twins a lot of thought. Big Full House fan, were you?

Melbo - Did I tell you all that my wife has a Beckham fetish? I think she's one of the five people who enjoyed Posh's short-lived reality TV show this summer.

When I was younger I was pretty sure Stephanie was the "one". Oh what a cruel, cruel world! Maybe Lance still isn't over "Matthew McWhatshisface" leaving him for Camila Alves and is using the twins to get over the love of his life. Whenever I get dumped I just need a little consoling and a spoonful of sugar) to help me feel better. Perhaps the stars aren't that much different.?

Here's one: why can't two dudes be close friends without feeling pressure to proclaim that they're not gay?

David
I was playing with my ken doll the other night while soaking in some suds and thought the same exact thing!

Gross. I thought his stint with Paris was a low point, but an Olsen twin? I think he needs to get back on his bike. Too much downtime makes his crazy.

Marc said...

David - I don't think he was making any sort of broad pronouncement... just referencing Lance and Matthew prancing around assorted beaches with their shirts off... it was kind of gay ("not that there's anything wrong with that").

Simon - Do us all a favor. Next time you have the urge to share you bathing experiences with Ken... don't.

Heidi - Lance and Paris?! Apparently I'm not paying close enough attention to our man Lance. Now I'm torn. I almost want to say that a hookup with Paris is worse in my book than hitting up an Olsen twin.

oh Lance...

Maybe the reason he's only dating one of the Olsen twins is cause he had one of his nu+$ chopped off. So maybe he feels like he's half a man and therefore needs half a woman. Or half of a set of twins.

Still going.

I didn't know it was a crime to fall in love. Let Lance and Ashley celebrate their joy.

Some people must be jealous.

I am speechless. what can I say?

I have no words for this.

i am beginning to question my own existence.

to be young and in love...oh wait....

Amy Morris said...

Is it funny that one of my best friends hung out with him last weekend?

Marc said...

Cali Condor - Touche.

Treidi - Well, maybe it's not as bad as we think and they have a lot in common and stuff...

Michel - Soon my brother... soon.

King - How about... "Oh to be middle aged and in love with someone young?"

Amy - You know Ashley Olsen?!!!

Sommer said...

Marc- you are officially the worst blogger on my links list! I need new gossip.
By the way, Lance is now denying he was ever dating Ashley to which the entertainment reporter replied, "It takes a lot of BALL to stand up to the media1"

Amy Morris said...

Hello?

I thought the Romney speech would bring out a post for sure....

Are you a full-time lawyer now? No blog joy??

Marc said...

Sommshine - The worst blogger on your links list? Ouch... looks like I have my work cut out for me.

Amy - Hi.

King - I thought about it for a minute...

Anon - Indeed I am... though I hope that doesn't permanently doom the blog joy.
